San Jose State Clears Campus Buildings After Report Of Person With Gun On Campus

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - San Jose State police reopened campus buildings Monday afternoon after an unconfirmed report that a person with a gun had been spotted in the business classroom building forced a room-to-room search.

The school received the report shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, and asked all faculty, staff and students in the business complex buildings to evacuate.

As of 4:35 the scene had been cleared and not gunman found, reports KCBS.

SJPD officers diverted traffic away from nearby 10th Street during the investigation.

Students said they had been notified of the investigation.
