San Jose, San Francisco Among 25 Best Cities To Find A Job

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- It's expensive to live in the Bay Area, but there's a new study that says it's also a good place to be if you're looking for a job.

According to the job recruiting site, Glassdoor.com, San Francisco and San Jose rank among the top 25 Best Cities for Jobs.

Glassdoor came up with the list based on 3 factors: hiring opportunity, city affordability, and employee satisfaction.

San Jose scored 3.8 on Glassdoor's 5-point scale, with more than 51,000 job openings. San Francisco scored 3.7 with almost 95,000 job openings. Both cities have their tech sectors to thank for making them so attractive to job seekers. Smaller tech hubs like Austin and Seattle scored higher because they are more affordable.

The top-ranked city for jobs was Raleigh, North Carolina, with a score of 4.1. Glassdoor gave Raleigh the highest score because it is home to many tech companies, the famous "Research Triangle," pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods and affordable homes.
