San Jose Man Wins Nearly $1.3 Million In May 8 Powerball Drawing

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man in San Jose is California's newest millionaire after matching five of the six numbers for the May 8 Powerball drawing, according to Lottery officials.

Lujan Do successfully matched 25-66-44-5-26 on his Powerball ticket, missing only the Powerball number 9, to win a total of $1,299,421.

According to Lottery officials, Do purchased the winning ticket from Cask'n Flask Liquors located at 14520 Camden Avenue.

The owner of the store will also receive a bonus check of $6,497 just for selling the winning ticket.

Do told Lottery officials that he wanted to remain low-key about the plans for his prize money, and did not wish to speak to any media.
