San Jose Man Dies In Christmas Morning Stabbing

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man died early Friday at a hospital from one or more stab wounds he suffered earlier Christmas morning in downtown San Jose, police said.

Officers responded at about 5:40 a.m. to the 200 block of North 26th Street on a report of a stabbing.

Officers found a man with at least one stab wound and the man was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police do not have a motive nor do officers understand the circumstances of the stabbing, police said. No arrests have been made, Officer Albert Morales said.

The name of the victim will not be released until the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office has confirmed the victim's identity and the office notifies the victim's next of kin.
