2-alarm fire burns apartment building in West San Jose; 3 residents rescued
Firefighters rescued three people from a fire burning at an apartment building in San Jose Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported on the 1100 block of Oakmont Drive in West San Jose at a two-story building.
San Jose Firefighters Union Local 230 said on social media at 10:26 a.m. that the fire had reached two alarms and rescues were in progress.

The San Jose Fire Department said the fire was brought under control at 10:41 a.m. and that three residents had been rescued with minor injuries. None required hospitalization.

The fire department said the fire had been contained mostly to one apartment. No cause of the fire was immediately disclosed.
People were urged to avoid the area.
