San Francisco Police Detain Person With Handgun At Metreon Theater

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco police detained one person and located a gun inside the Metreon Theater in the city's South of Market neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Police said the incident started at 7:55 p.m. inside the theater at the intersection of Fourth and Mission streets.

San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said officers received a 911 call reporting a person possibly armed with a handgun.

At 8:40 p.m., police said the incident had been resolved.

Officers ordered the theater to be evacuated. Police detained a person and located a handgun, Gatpandan said.

No injuries were reported.
