San Francisco Boudin Bakery Shows Off 49ers Sourdough Spirit

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF)  - A traditional San Francisco treat is getting a new treatment in anticipation of the 49ers-Seahawks NFC Championship clash in Seattle Sunday.

The Boudin Bakery and restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf is used to displaying critters made out of its world-famous sourdough. The unique bread loaves are displayed in a window to the delight of tourists.

This week, Boudin bakers have  shown their 49er pride with a large sourdough alligator, dressed up in a Patrick Willis jersey.

A strategically-placed Seahawks shirt finishes off the display, with the massive and intricately-made gator loaf looking like it is about to chomp down on  it.

The sourdough gator was also set up before the 49ers victory against the Carolina Panthers  last Sunday. Superstition may keep the tradition going depending on the result this Sunday.
