San Bruno Caltrain Stabbing Suspect Arrested

SAN BRUNO (CBS SF) -- A man who allegedly stabbed someone near the Caltrain station in San Bruno early Saturday morning has been arrested, police said.

Michael Strasser, 65, of San Bruno, was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after the victim identified him as the assailant.

The victim gave police a description of the suspect when officers first responded to the report of the stabbing at 3:06 a.m. in the 800 block of San Mateo Avenue and later identified Strasser when he was in custody.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
