Salinas Man Walking Bicycle Shot Multiple Times

SALINAS (CBS SF) -- A man is suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso after a late night shooting Sunday, according to police.

Police said at 10:22 p.m. a 20-year-old man was walking his bicycle on Sieber Street at Orchard Avenue when several shots were fired by an unknown suspect.

According to police, the victim was very uncooperative with officers and would not provide any information before being transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police said 911 callers reported a possible suspect described as a Hispanic male adult, wearing dark clothing, possibly a dark grey Pendleton, and blue jeans last seen running east.
