Sales Of Trump Piñatas, Toilet Paper Soaring At San Francisco Store
Business is brisk at a San Francisco Mission District shop known for its anti-Trump handiwork.
"We have Trump pinatas. We have Trump toilet paper," Casa Bonampak owner Nancy Chárraga told KCBS.
Casa Bonampak is a colorful and popular folk art shop owned by Chárraga, who is from Chiapas, Mexico. Its window display is a cornucopia of anti-Trump gear.
Barbara Ross of Oakland came in to stock up on that Trump toilet paper, buying boxes of it to give as stocking stuffers, with a "Deport Trump: We Ship Anywhere" sticker slapped on each carton.
"He's a buffoon, but the media treats him as if he's normal," Ross said.
The wide array of anti-Trump stuff attracts tourists too, including Frieda Kreiner of New York City, who remains baffled that voters outside the Empire State - where Trump trails Hillary Clinton in the polls by 2 to 1 - think Trump is presidential timber.
"We've known him for a long time, and he's not who he is presenting himself to be," Kreiner said.
The piñatas come with a shock of orange hair, tiny hands and a wide open mouth. Shop clerk Tracy says sales are spiking.
"Business is good," she said.
