Sacramento: Woman Shoots, Kills Man On Light-Rail Train

SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) -- Sacramento authorities have arrested a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of fatally shooting an apparent stranger on a light-rail train.

Police booked Lynnsey Evakarla Braun into county jail on suspicion of murder Friday. She declined an interview request from the newspaper.

Braun is accused of gunning down a man in his 50s inside a Sacramento Regional Transit train around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say after he was shot, the victim exited the train and fell onto the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers who were in the train car when the shooting occurred were not injured.

Transit officials are trying to address public safety concerns following the first homicide on a train in the system's history.
