Palestinian Runners Supporting Gaza Compete In San Francisco Marathon
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Seven runners from the West Bank competed in the San Francisco Marathon Sunday.
Competing in the race took on a special meaning for the group, whose members say simply organizing a marathon in their home country can feel like moving mountains.
"We cannot move freely from any point to any point in Palestine. We have Israeli checkpoints everywhere we want to go," runner Diala Isid said.

The group, named 'Right to Movement' has 300 members hoping to spread their message.
"We are here to show everyone that the right to movement and running is a human right," member Luma Sakakini said.
Sponsored by a San Mateo nonprofit called Rebuilding Alliance, the group hoped to raise money to buy supplies for their war-torn region.
