Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney Rumored For Fall Mega-Festival

By Brian Ives

(RADIO.COM) – According to the L.A. Times, a festival uniting some of Rock & Roll's greatest living legends will take place at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California from October 7 – 9. That's the same venue where indie/pop/EDM/hip-hop festival Coachella is taking place this weekend and next weekend, and where the country festival Stagecoach will be held the weekend after that.

On October 7, according to the story, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones will perform; on October 8 Neil Young and his current touring band (Promise of the Real, which features two of Willie Nelson's sons) and Paul McCartney. Then, on October 9, the Who and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters.

Dylan, McCartney, Young and Waters have all played at major American festivals (such as Coachella, Bonnaroo and Outside Lands) and have proven to be big draws at those events, which are mainly aimed at a younger audience.

The event has yet to be confirmed, but the L.A. Times did get a quote from Young's manager, Elliott Roberts, who said, ""You won't get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again."
