ROHNERT PARK (CBS SF) -- A fire at a home in Rohnert Park on Thursday afternoon caused an estimated $70,000 in damage, according to the city's Department of Public Safety.

A garage fire and explosion at a home was reported in the 7900 block of Santa Barbara Drive, public safety officials said.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the garage and attic then initiated an interior fire attack, according to officials.

The fire was under control about 30 minutes later and no injuries were reported, according to officials.

The female resident who called 911 to report the fire safely evacuated herself and her family, officials said.

Crews from the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District, Rincon Valley Fire District, Santa Rosa Fire Department and Cal Fire assisted in battling the fire.
