Road Closures Around AT&T Park Due To Movie Shoot With Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

(CBS SF/AP) - The South of Market area around AT&T Park is scheduled to be closed off due to a film shoot. AT&T Park is the setting for scenes in the upcoming action movie "San Andreas" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The area around Third and Fourth Streets, between Channel & King Streets will be closed to traffic from 12noon through midnight Monday.

The front of Lefty O'Doul Plaza at AT&T Park looked like a war zone with scattered debris, a car flattened by bricks and the dead giveaway of a movie set, a large green screen erected near the gates. Johnson is scheduled to appear at the ballpark some time Monday afternoon.

Filming in the Fisherman's Wharf area angered some residents due to the loss of traffic last week. The San Francisco Film Commission says it's already gotten a lot of angry calls asking them to rescind the film's permits.

"The Rock" stars in the film as a helicopter pilot on a mission to save his daughter after a devastating earthquake destroys much of the state. The Hayward-born Johnson has said he is proud of the hard work he is putting in on the film, which is due out June 5, 2015. The film also stars Carla Gugino (Sin City), Colton Haynes (Arrow, Teen Wolf), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) and Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson movies).
