Richmond Man Shot, Killed In San Pablo

SAN PABLO (CBS SF) -- A Richmond man was shot and killed in San Pablo on Thursday afternoon, a Contra Costa County coroner's deputy said Friday morning.

Franklin Lopez-Guardado, 19, was killed in a shooting on Dover Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the deputy.

He was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center for treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

A San Pablo police spokesperson was not immediately available this morning to comment on the homicide, which is the city's first since 2012.
