Richmond Man Critically Injured In Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A Richmond man is in critical condition after being shot in Oakland's Fruitvale district late Wednesday night, police said.

Officers who responded to reports of a shooting found the man in the 2900 block of East 7th St., near the Fruitvale Station shopping center, at 11:48 p.m. on Wednesday suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, according to police.

Investigators developed information that led officers to the area of 75th Avenue and Bancroft Avenue, about two blocks south of the Eastmont Town Center. Officers located and arrested an adult male and two juvenile males there at about 12:30 a.m. today for their alleged roles in the shooting, police said.
