Residents Displaced By San Anselmo Apartment Fire

SAN ANSELMO (CBS SF) -- Residents at a San Anselmo apartment complex were displaced from multiple units when a two-alarm blaze broke out Saturday afternoon, an acting fire battalion chief said.

The blaze was reported in the 1300 block of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard shortly before 5 p.m., Ross Valley fire Acting Battalion Chief Mark Weston said.

Nobody was inside the unit when firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported, Weston said.

The fire was extinguished shortly after firefighters arrived at the scene, according to Weston.

A child and two adults were displaced from the ground-floor unit where the fire began and residents from two neighboring units were also displaced due to smoke damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
