Rescuers Perform CPR On Man Pulled From Ocean At SF China Beach

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was pulled from the water this morning at China Beach in San Francisco, a San Francisco Fire Department spokesman said.

A National Park Service beach patrol unit pulled the victim from the water at 8:51 a.m. and started CPR, fire department spokesman Jonathan Baxter said.

When firefighters arrived they continued CPR and were able to establish a heart beat.

The victim was taken in critical condition to California Pacific Medical Center on Duboce Avenue in San Francisco. As of 10:33 a.m. fire officials did not have his current condition, Baxter said.
