Rescue Row: 4 Places To Adopt Pets On 1 San Francisco Street

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Hundreds of animal lovers and potential pet owners turned out for the inauguration of Rescue Row in San Francisco.

Now, there are four animal welfare organizations located in the same city block, at Alabama and 16th Streets.

The animal welfare organizations are The San Francisco SPCA, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, Northern California Family Dog Rescue, and the San Francisco Department of Animal Care and Control.

City officials voted to officially recognize the block as Rescue Row, the first street of its kind in the country.

Celebrations on Rescue Row got underway with ribbon-cutting, free adoptions, food, drinks, and music.
