Rescue Crews Work To Pull Driver From Vehicle Over Embankment In Rural Alameda County

CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) -- Rescue crews are working to pull a driver from a vehicle that went over an embankment off of a rural Alameda County road Tuesday afternoon, San Ramon Valley fire officials said.

The crash was reported near 10895 Crow Canyon Road at 1:09 p.m., according to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.

Technical rescue crews are working to pull the driver from the wreckage. The driver appears to have suffered only minor injuries and was reported to be conscious and breathing, according to the fire department.

While the crash happened on the Alameda County side of the border with Contra Costa County, San Ramon Valley firefighters were closer and responded. Alameda County fire crews are also on scene, fire officials said.
