Report: 49ers Expected To Fire Coach Jim Tomsula After 1 Season

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) -- The Jim Tomsula experiment could be coming to a close before it ever really begins with a report emerging Sunday that the 49ers expect to fire him after Sunday's season finale against the Rams.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports the Niners are going to move on from their head coach after just one season, while they also plan on keeping general manager Trent Baalke.

Our own Jason La Canfora reported earlier Sunday that Tomsula's status in San Francisco already is shaky with pressure mounting on ownership.
