11-Year-Old Redwood City Boy Reported Missing Found Safe

REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) -- An 11-year-old boy who went missing from a Redwood City middle school on Friday afternoon has been found safe and is back with his family, police said Saturday.

David Mendoza had last been seen around 3 p.m. Friday at John F. Kennedy Middle School at 2521 Goodwin Ave., according to police.

Mendoza, who was considered at-risk because of his age, was found safe Saturday, police reported shortly before 8 p.m. Details about when and where he was found were not immediately available.
