Recall On Nissan Leaf Electric Cars Due To Brake Problem

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Nissan is recalling tens of thousands Leaf electric cars over a possible brake relay problem.

The automaker says in cold weather the relay can fail causing the driver to have slam on the brakes.

So far, there are no reports of accidents or injuries from the problem.

Owners can take their cars to a dealer to get it corrected for free.
