Rare Bear Caught On Camera Sharing Lake Tahoe Slopes With Skiers

HEAVENLY (CBS SF) -- Bears may not have the designer goggles and gear, but they do occasionally share the slopes with skiers at Lake Tahoe resorts, and one was caught on camera Friday morning at Heavenly Mountain.

Tahoe Daily Tribune reporter Tom Lotshaw snapped the photo of the bear dodging skiers during a masters race at the South Lake Tahoe resort during morning runs.

Tahoe is known for its world-renowned skiing, and its bears, and the occasional encounters between the two.  This may be one of the most unusual, as the bears are rarely seen so far out in the powder.
