LARKSPUR (KCBS) – Ahead of Super Bowl 50, people who ride on the Golden Gate Ferry system may notice a security-related change.

"Right now, what we're doing is random bag checks," Golden Gate Bridge District spokesperson Priya David-Clemens told KCBS Radio.

District officials said the bag checks will be the norm for the next two weeks.

The district also says parking spots at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal have been filling up quickly, so passengers should arrive early.
