Rainbows, Rain, Hail Over San Francisco Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Torrential rain before dawn Tuesday gave way to spectacular rainbows arcing across the Bay as an unusually cold system moved through Northern California.

Hail pelted some parts of Solano County.

Snow dusted the tallest of local mountains and the Sierra.

And about 8 million cameras were there to capture the beauty.

Here are some of the best shots.
