Rain Showers Expected To Hit Bay Area Overnight
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - For the second time in as many weeks the Bay Area will get a preview of the coming rainy season as light showers move into our drought-stricken region.
Low clouds and fog were hanging around local mountaintops in the early hours Wednesday, reports KPIX 5 Meteorologist Lawrence Karnow. The clouds will give way do clear skies and seasonal temperatures - some in the 80's - across parts of the Bay Area. By the evening hours we'll see clouds building in with rain slowly sliding in from the north, bringing showers to Sonoma and Marin Counties overnight. By Wednesday morning the chance of showers should be widespread across the Bay Area.
The rainfall is totals will be measured in tenths of an inch, and will not provide significant relief to our drought. Skies should clear out by Friday, bringing warmer weather for most of the region Friday through the weekend.
