Raiders Among NFL Teams Former Disney CEO Hopes To Lure To Los Angeles

OAKLAND (CBS/AP) – The Walt Disney Co.'s former Chief Executive Officer Michael Eisner is working with the mayor to bring an NFL team to Los Angeles, and the Raiders are on his list.

When Eisner was Disney's top CEO, the entertainment giant founded the NHL's Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and owned the Los Angeles Angels.

Now he's acting as an unofficial, unpaid adviser to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, helping shape a deal that could potentially bring an NFL team to a downtown stadium.

The Hollywood dealmaker has been working behind the scenes to keep the talks going, and he says he's in touch with the NFL all the time.

A decision about a Los Angeles stadium is expected in the coming months.

Several teams that can exit their leases are considered possible transplants: the San Diego Chargers, St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders.

Eisner says a stadium would help continue a rebirth of the city's downtown core.
