Raiders Adding Security For 1st Game With 49ers Since Violent 2011 Brawl

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - The Oakland Raiders are increasing security for this Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers at O.co Coliseum.

There is a history of problems at previous games between the two fan bases. An annual preseason game between the two franchises was canceled after an August 2011 game at Candlestick Park that left two people shot and another badly beaten.

The 49ers have already experienced two headline-making fan fight this year. The first melee took place during a week three game in Arizona and a second caught-on-camera fight took place between Niner fans in a Levi's Stadium bathroom, and left one man partially paralyzed.

The Raiders say they'll add uniformed police and more undercover officers Sunday. They'll also add private security for the afternoon contest.
