3.9 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles The Geysers
MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.9-magnitude earthquake Sunday morning at The Geysers on the border between Sonoma and Lake counties.
The tremor was recorded at 10:41 a.m. about 70 miles north of San Francisco at an estimated depth of 2.5 miles, according to the USGS.
The geothermal field where the quake struck is one of the most seismically active in Northern California. There were no immediate reports of damage.
