Preventing Ticket Fraud During Super Bowl 50

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- When you've got a huge event like Super Bowl 50, with tickets going for thousands of dollars, preventing fraud is a major priority.

The NFL and ticket sellers are doing a lot to prevent counterfeit tickets.

Joseph Asaro, director of trust and safety at StubHub, is in charge of making sure ticket sales are legit. On StubHub, ticket sales start at $3,000 and the top seats are going for more than $40,000.

Asaro said holograms are helping prevent people from duplicating tickets. He said that no electronic tickets will be distributed for the event, in order to further curb fraud.

Tickets are also being transported in Brinks trucks, Asaro said.
