Powerball Ticket Purchased In East Bay Worth Over $1 Million

CONCORD (CBS SF) -- A Powerball ticket purchased in Concord is worth more than $1 million after Saturday's drawing, California Lottery officials said.

The ticket, sold at Monument Wines & Spirits at 2250 Monument Blvd., is worth $1,021,713 after matching the numbers 25, 28, 11, 17 and 46, missing only the Powerball number 12.

The retailer will receive a bonus of $5,108.56, one-half of 1 percent of the prize, for selling the winning ticket, lottery officials said.

The holder of the winning ticket is encouraged to sign it, keep it in a safe place and visit a lottery district office as soon as possible.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

Powerball is a lottery game played in California and 43 other states, as well as the District of Columbia.
