Pot Dispensary To Open In Former Site Of SF's Last Gun Store

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- What was once San Francisco's last gun store will soon become the city's newest medical marijuana dispensary.

Plans are for the High Bridge dispensary to open in July, pending city official approval at the old site of the High Bridge Arms store on Mission Street, between Valencia and Powers, 7X7 reported.

Ownership with High Bridge Arms, which ceased operations last October, decided to close down before a new gun sales ordinance went into effect requiring sellers to videotape transactions.

Supervisor Mark Farrell sponsored the ordinance, and at the time of the gun shop closure said he was looking forward to the site becoming a "neighborhood-serving entity" like a preschool or a senior center.
