Sinkhole Repaired On I-880 In Oakland; All Lanes Open

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- All lanes of Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland were reopened early Wednesday after crews repaired roadway damage due to a possible sinkhole.

The incident was first reported around 4:50 pm. Tuesday as a sinkhole or pothole in the third lane of southbound Interstate Highway 880 between Broadway and Oak Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

KCBS Traffic: Current Road Conditions

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 6:26 p.m. and closed three lanes of the roadway.

The roadway was repaired, and the Sig-alert was canceled around 2 a.m.
