'All Clear' : Suspected Gas Leak Briefly Shuts Down VTA Building In Downtown San Jose

SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- A suspected gas leak briefly shutdown the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority downtown customer service center in San Jose Friday morning, a VTA spokeswoman said.

Colleen Valles, a VTA spokeswoman, told KCBS the building at 55 West Santa Clara Street was evacuated at about 9 a.m.until PG&E crews arrived and determined there was no leak.

Workers were allowed back into the building about 10 a.m.

The evacuation had no impact to VTA service, Valles said.
