San Jose Father Killed In Front Of His Home In Possible Case Of Mistaken Identity

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A man was killed in front of his San Jose home in what may be a case of mistaken identity.

24-year old Richard Watkins was killed as he greeted a relative in front of his house Saturday night when police say a gunman opened fire without warning.

The shooting occurred on Azucar Avenue near Roeder Road.

Watkins was a husband and father of two young children with another on the way.

Police say neither Watkins nor the relative did anything to provoke the shooting.

No suspects were in custody.
