Popular Show Dog Stolen From Stockton Family

STOCKTON (KPIX 5) -- A Stockton woman is offering a cash reward for the safe return of her award-winning French Bulldog who was stolen from her house last week.

The owner Stephanie Winkler said someone broke into her house and took Burlesque, her two-year-old dog who's won several competitions. Now she believes the thieves will try to sell her.

"They took ribbons and photos, they took things that they could show to someone to sell her off quickly," Winkler said. "Without papers she could go anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000. I personally bought her for a lot more than that."

Winkler said she's filed a police report and is offering a reward for anyone who can return her dog.

"If you think you stole a dog that I'm just going to forget about you, you are mistaken," Winkler said. "I will never stop looking for her."
