Police Seek SUV Suspected In Hit-&-Run Near Concord High School

CONCORD (CBS SF) – Police are seeking an SUV that struck a boy near Concord High School Thursday morning and then fled, a police spokesman said.

The collision was reported around 8 a.m. on Concord Boulevard and Forest Court, where a black Ford Explorer made "minor contact" with the juvenile, who was walking in a crosswalk, police spokesman Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.

The Ford drove away east on Concord Boulevard, and the vehicle and its driver remain at large, Blakely said.

The boy walked to Concord High School and reported the incident to school staff. Medical crews responded but the boy did not require transport to a hospital, Blakely said.
