Police Search For Suspect Who Stole Donations For Sick Employee

BENICIA (CBS SF) -- Police released video Monday of a burglar who allegedly broke into a Benicia restaurant and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash including an envelope that contained holiday donations for a sick employee.

Investigators said the burglar entered Nine O Seven Grill on First Street early Sunday and stole cash from the cash drawer.

The burglary appeared to happen shortly after midnight after the suspect entered the restaurant through a window. He then left through a back door with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was seen in the security camera wearing a light-colored Scottish-style golf hat and a long jacket.
