Boat Belonging To Newsom's Cousin Sinks In San Rafael Harbor

SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) -- Police were at the scene of a sinking boat Monday morning in San Rafael, days after a relative of Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom was found dead on the same vessel.

At 4:45 a.m., police received a report of a possible sinking boat in the San Rafael Yacht Harbor, located at 557 Francisco Blvd. E., according to a police dispatcher.

No injuries have been reported and police believe no one was on the boat at the time, the dispatcher said.

The boat belonged to Jennifer Newsom, who was found dead on the boat on Christmas Day. Jennifer Newsom was a cousin of the Lieutenant Governor.
