Police Helicopter & K-9 Search For Burglary Suspects In Milpitas Ends In 2 Arrests

MILPITAS (KCBS / KPIX 5)— Several streets in the city of Milpitas were shut down while police searched for burglary suspects Thursday afternoon.

It was originally reported that the search was for a gunman, but eventually a man and a woman were arrested in efforts aided by a police dog and helicopter.

Police had their guns drawn during the search in an area near Weller Lane, Marylinn Dive and North Abel Street. At one point, officers were spotted checking backyards in the neighborhood.

According to the Milpitas Post, residents in the area of Images Circle and Marylinn Drive were advised to stay indoors.

Authorities wrapped up their search shortly after 5 p.m.
