Police Chase Stolen Car Out Of Hayward, Arrest Driver

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- Police arrested the driver of a vehicle reported stolen out of Hayward after a chase on Interstate Highway 880 Sunday morning, a Alameda County Sheriff's official said.

Police located the vehicle in Hayward and pursued it into Oakland to 98^th Avenue and C Street where deputies made the arrest without incident at about 3:30 a.m., police said.

The chase did not result in any collisions or injuries to suspects, civilians or police, the sheriff's official said.
