Pleasanton Burglary Leads To Arrest Of Neighbor Allegedly Wearing Stolen Clothes

PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- Video surveillance equipment installed at a Pleasanton home following a burglary last month led to the arrest of a woman Wednesday, police said.

Officers responded to investigate a residential burglary in the 7700 block of Canyon Meadows Circle on Dec. 13, according to police.

The home that was burglarized had electronics, tools, furniture and clothing stolen. The residents installed video surveillance equipment on the exterior of the home after the burglary, police said.

On New Year's Eve, the residents at the burglarized home noticed on the footage a neighbor in front of their home wearing stolen pajama pants and slippers, according to police.

On Wednesday, police in Pleasanton executed a search warrant at the home of the suspect, 39-year-old Sormeh Angela Zupan.

Nearly all of the stolen property from the burglary was recovered.

Police said Zupan used the stolen items to decorate her home.

Zupan was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property.
