Minor shot multiple times in Pittsburg dies, another hospitalized, police say

One minor is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting in Pittsburg on Saturday night, police said.

Around 7:15 p.m., officers responded to Belle Harbor Circle for reports of gunfire.

At the scene, a boy was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to a local hospital and is stable, police said. His identification has not been released. 

A second boy was found a short distance away with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene, police said. 

Detectives then learned the shooting appears to have come after a physical fight. 

The investigation is ongoing.
