Pickup Truck Shot On Highway 4 Near Pittsburg, Occupant Hit By Flying Glass

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Contra Costa County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating another shooting on state Highway 4 near Pittsburg Friday night, a lieutenant said.

The incident was reported near Bailey Road around 9 p.m.

The driver of a westbound pickup truck got off the highway and pulled over after hearing a pop and found a hole in the back window.

A female victim was struck by flying glass and transported to a hospital as a precaution.

"The important part is that everyone was OK, luckily," Lt. Ian Hebert said.

There have been more than 20 shootings on East Bay highways in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties since November.
