Pickup Exiting I-680 Slams Into San Jose Home

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – Police in San Jose have arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence after a pickup slammed into a home late Monday night.

According to authorities, the pickup was traveling on Interstate 680 when it exited Jackson Avenue at a high rate of speed. The truck crashed through the front yard and hit a parked vehicle before going into the front house.

No one in the home was injured in the crash.

Police took the driver into custody. No information about the suspect was immediately available.

The homeowner told KPIX 5 that his home, which is across the street from the off-ramp, has been struck by vehicles at least four times. The homeowner said a car has ended up on his property at least 19 times.
