Petaluma Police Say DUI Suspect Was More Than 4 Times Legal Limit

PETALUMA (CBS SF) – Petaluma police early Monday morning arrested a driver who was found with a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit, a police corporal said.

A citizen called police around 2:25 a.m. Monday to report a vehicle in the 400 block of East Washington Street that might have been in a crash, Cpl. Ryan McGreevy said.

Officers contacted Chris Schropp, 27, of Petaluma, who appeared intoxicated and could not complete field sobriety tests, McGreevy said.

A screening test showed Schropp's blood-alcohol level to be 0.38 percent, McGreevy said.

Schropp was arrested and booked under $20,000 bail in Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of DUI, possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.
