Person Struck By Caltrain; Incident Prompts Major Delays

(CBS SF) -- Caltrain service is experiencing systemwide delays Wednesday after a person was struck by a southbound train.

At about 7:45 a.m., Caltrain reported a pedestrian was involved in an incident at the San Antonio station.

The individual is alive and was transported to a local hospital shortly after 8 a.m., according to Caltrain officials.

Caltrain said several trains were stopped in both directions temporarily but is now single-tracking through the area.

The following trains are seeing up to 30 minute delays.

SB Trains:
No. 210 is currently 23 mins. late holding at San Antonio
No. 312 – 23 mins. late
No. 314 – 15 mins. late

NB Trains:
No. 221 – 29 mins. late
No. 323 – 14 mins. late
No. 225 – 12 mins late
No. 227 and No, 329 holding at Lawrence
