Woman Stabbed Several Times In Vacaville CVS Store

VACAVILLE (CBS SF) -- A man stabbed a woman several times at a CVS store photo kiosk in Vacaville Monday afternoon, a city spokesman said.

The stabbing at 625 Elmira Road happened around 1:10 p.m., Vacaville city spokesman Mark Mazzaferro said.

The woman was downloading photos from her phone to make prints at the kiosk when the man, who she did not know, stabbed her several times, Mazzaferro said.

A store employee and several customers grabbed the man and held him down until police arrived, Mazzaferro said.

The woman suffered serious injuries but was conscious and alert when she was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center and is expected to survive, Mazzaferro said.

The suspect was taken to police headquarters for questioning, Mazzaferro said. His name has not yet been released.
